As if expecting a baby isn't enough excitement, Julia has been busy in her garden building her very own studio this year to record her first, long awaited album. Julia will be posting up photos of her progress and keeping a video diary as events unfold over the next few months. She has also been working on a new website which she hopes will be up and running before the year is out.

You may have been wondering why things have gone a little quiet on the gig front over the summer. We're pleased to announce that Julia will be expecting her first baby in December this year! Julia has been slowing things down and preparing to get into the studio over the next few months before her bump gets too big to play. She sees it as a good opportunity to spend time writing and recording and looks forward to touring again from May 2009.

There are still a few gigs in the pipeline throughout September and October and Julia will also be hosting a new night at the Gate Arts Centre bringing you new music from around UK and abroad.
